Meanwhile prior panics and stock market crashes managed to sort themselves out within a year or two in most cases, in spite of little to no government intervention.<BR/><BR/>The theory of positive rights is one I find to be extremely dangerous. And this is coming from someone who devoted the first 10 years of her adult life to unpaid, altruistic endeavors. Private charity has proved that it is very effective in providing health care to the poor. And prior to HMO mandates, health care was very affordable for the working class. In fact even today there is a doctor I have heard of in Arizona who accepts no third party payments, yet is able to charge $35 per visit.
