Upcoming US News Blog and Speaking Engagements

The start date for my weekly U.S. News career blog is Dec. 3. My first post will be Workplace/Career Predictions and Trends for 2013. 

As mentioned in a previous post, my contract with U.S. News requires my posts be original to U.S. News, but I can re-post them here a week later. So, my next career post here will be Dec 10, when I will re-post that Predictions and Trends piece.

For those of you'd like my current career advice now, here are options:

•  I'll be speaking at the Berkeley Public Library's Main Branch this Monday, Oct. 22 at 6 pm. The title: What Every Job Seeker and Person Scared of Becoming One Should Know and Probably Doesn't.
• I'll be speaking at the Oakland Public Library's main branch on Nov. 14 at 6:30 pm: How to Land a Good Job in a Bad Market. 
• My KALW-FM (NPR-San Francisco) radio show, Work with Marty Nemko, can be heard Sundays 11 am to noon on 91.7 FM, with the podcast, available worldwide, for a week on the NPR site, in perpetuity on iTunes, and on www.martynemko.com.
• And of course, there are the hundreds of career-related posts on this blog (just click on "career advice" in the label cloud to the right) and hundreds more on my website: www.martynemko.com
