9 Self-Help Books of 2021 for a Good 2022

Many lists of self-help books are of all-time bests: for example, Atomic Habits, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

But you may be familiar with those, so it may be more helpful to suggest books that have been published in 2021.These are not just books I like but ones that are lauded by others. Their average rating among Amazon purchasers is 4.5 stars out of 5.  I describe them in my Psychology Today article today.

The Books by My Bed: What I’m reading during the lockdown

During the day, I read too much about corona. At bedtime, I want to read anything but.

One of my many bad habits is to clutter my bedroom, even the bed, with too many books, a number of which I’m reading at the same time. Perhaps one or more might tempt you, at least temporarily, away from COVID obsession. I describe them in my Psychology Today article today.

My Bedside Books

Washington Post Book World columnist Michael Dirda reminds us that we can learn about a person from the books on his nightstand, or in my case, on my nightstand, in my bed, or splayed beside it.

My PsychologyToday.com article today reveals what festoons my bed chamber these days. I share these not so much to be self-revealing but these books having made it into my inner sanctum is an index of their being works I truly value and so perhaps you will too.
