Finding a Job in Tough Times: Keynote address at Lighthouse for the Blind's annual conference

I gave the keynote address at the Lighthouse for the Blind's annual conference. Here is the video of it.

It contains as many lessons for the sighted as for the blind.

And I reveal quite a bit about me personally, including negatives.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on your presentation, which I thought was great -- both practical and inspirational. I hope you gain a wider platform for your BS-free ideas and expertise.

On a side note, I was wondering what you think of motivational speakers like Tony Robbins and Wayne Dyer. I think Robbins is just a showman, but Dyer seems to have insights into mankind's spiritual nature which may have practical application in navigating life's rough patches. What do you think?

Thank you. Yes, I am sad that more people do not read and comment on my work.

I know too little of Robbins and Dyer to offer a reasoned opinion.

Very good as usual.

Your father's lesson to you, and how you tell the story has helped me a great deal in my own life. Thank you.

I just watched your presentation. You are an engaging presenter and you make practical sense. You do not come across as a motivational speaker, like Robbins or even Dyer. You come across as a seasoned professional, someone who is respected because he knows of what he speaks.
