Tomorrow, Thursday, Jan 9, from 11 AM to noon, I'll be making my every couple-month appearance on KGO's Ronn Owens Program.

KGO's Ronn Owens Interviews Me at AT&T Park

On Sep. 4 at AT&T Park, KGO's Ronn Owens will interview me for an hour on career issues as part of Putting the Bay Area Back to Work--a four-hour job fair sponsored by AT&T, KGO, and other corporate and government entities.

If you don't want to attend the the event, it will be broadcast on KGO 810-AM in San Francisco.

The event will run from 10 AM to 2 PM and the interview with me will be at either 10 AM or 11 AM. It's not yet been determined.

Tomorrow morning, Thurs, Jan 3, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Pacific time, I'll be making my next regular appearance (approximately my 75th) on KGO Radio's Ronn Owens Program, one of the most respected and listened-to shows on the West Coast. His guests have included Presidents Obama and Carter, Benjamin Netenyahu, and even Willie Mays.

He'll likely ask me about the pockets of opportunity in today's economy, not-obvious ideas on landing a job, in moving up, etc. And he probably won't be able to resist asking me something about New Year's resolutions--maybe on how to keep from breaking them. I've been on Ronn's show for 25 years now, so I have a pretty good idea of what he'll ask me about. He'll probably ask me to suggest some good but not-obvious careers, advanced strategies for landing a job, and ideas on self-employment. Ronn tends to probe me for what to do in difficult situations: soft-skilled clients, older workers, etc.  In between his questions, I'll offer callers specific advice on their career conundrum.

A Great Debate: Liberal Capitalism vs. Libertarianism

On my NPR radio show yesterday, I debated Obama economic advisor Jared Bernstein on whether an Obama-style liberal Democratic approach or a libertarian-leaning approach would be more beneficial to humankind.

I believe it presented both sides well and entertainingly. I've never touted any of my shows on this blog, but I think this one is particularly worthy of your attention.
